Information Collection
Our main purpose in collecting your personal information is to provide you with a streamlined experience using the Makah Tribal Council website. We only collect information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this. No personally identifiable information is obtained in the use of the website, with the exception of purchasing a permit. This information is not used for any other purpose. All identifiable information provided will not be disclosed to anyone unless we are specifically requested to do so. Makah Tribal Council does not give or sell to anyone any information we collect on our site.
We sometimes use data collection devices such as “cookies” on certain pages of the Site to measure effectiveness and safety. A “cookie” is a small file that gets placed on your hard drive that helps us provide our services. You are free to decline cookies if you choose too.
Security
At Makah Tribal Council, we take security seriously. When users make a reservation we use every precaution to safe guard it online and offline. Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
How long we retain your data
For guests booking a stay using our reservation system, we store the personal information, excluding credit card information, indefinitely.
We maintain an email marketing list which will retain your information indefinitely.
What rights you have over your data
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
We value your privacy and will treat your email address as if it were our own. We won’t share or sell your email information, however it might be stored when making a purchase.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our site. Google Analytics collects first-party cookies, data related to the device/browser, IP address and on-site/app activities to measure and report statistics about user interactions on the website. No personally identifiable information is collected in this process. We do not correlate data from Analytics with personally identifiable information collected during the Reservation process.
Google Analytics supports an optional browser add-on that – once installed and enabled – disables measurement by Google Analytics for any site a user visits. Note that this add-on only disables Google Analytics measurement.

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Policy Modifications
Makah Tribal Council may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment or to satisfy the needs of our guests, properties, strategic marketing partners, and service providers.
